My journey into the world of technology began at the age of 8 when I first learned how to program LEGO Mindstorm robots. This early exposure ignited a passion for creating software, which blossomed when I made my own version of the Pac-Man game using Scratch. That same drive for creation has never left me.
As I progressed through high school, my interest in computer science deepened. I delved into core concepts such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Data Structures and Algorithms. The COVID-19 pandemic presented a unique opportunity for self-improvement, and I took advantage of online courses to expand my knowledge further. Alongside my growing interest in tech, I also explored creative realms such as photography and cinematography, which have enhanced my ability to think outside the box and bring a unique perspective to my technical projects.
University has been an incredible experience where I've had the privilege of learning from highly qualified professors and collaborating with classmates on various projects. I've explored many different realms of the tech world, from creating IoT systems to embedded systems, game development, and app development. Additionally, I've delved into the entrepreneurial side of technology, learning what makes a product stand out and how to position it well in the market.
These diverse experiences have provided me with valuable insights into real-world software development and have solidified my passion for technology.
My coding ethos is centered on clarity and accessibility. Initially, I build to ensure functionality, but I dedicate considerable effort to refining my code - commenting, organizing, and ensuring it's welcoming to any collaborator.
Efficiency and maintainability are my mantras. Functional features are good, but sustainable, and adaptable code is the gold standard. It’s not just about making it work; it’s about crafting it to last and be easily managed.
I thrive on new projects, as each one is a new chapter of learning and growth. Every challenge is an opportunity to expand my horizons.
The best way to describe me is resilient. I adapt well to challenges and setbacks, maintaining a positive attitude and persistence until I achieve my goals. When faced with unfamiliar problems, I utilize my problem-solving mindset to break them down into manageable components. By systematically addressing each part and combining these solutions, I effectively resolve the larger issue.
Curiosity is my constant companion; I'm a perpetual learner. My passion for acquiring new knowledge and skills not only enriches my life but also continually enhances my professional development, shaping me into a well-rounded, T-shaped individual.
My collaborative spirit is a core part of who I am. With a background encompassing both engineering and the arts, I bridge gaps between the technical and creative minds in any team. Going the extra mile for my team is second nature to me.
With over 2 years of experience as a tutor, my communication skills are top notch. I excel at breaking down complex ideas into understandable segments, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
I’m always open for a chat, whether it’s about work-related topics or just catching up as a friend. A food enthusiast at heart, I am your go-to guy for the next potluck. (I'll keep the spice level low)
